Predictions for CB2?

Featured Replies

How do you think Cardi B's second studio album - rumored to be released in 2024 - will fare?

Any predictions for the sound, features, title, aesthetic, etc.?

She's released four singles this decade - all Top 20 on the Hot 100 - the first two of which Cardi confirmed to be attached to the album:

  • WAP feat. Megan Thee Stallion (#1 peak)
  • Up (#1 peak)
  • Hot Sh*t (#13 peak)
  • Bongos feat. Megan Thee Stallion (#14 peak)

(Yes, I do believe she will fine-tune and release it this year although she doesn't feel she needs to, but she implied that plans are fixed with Atlantic. And no, she isn't "scared" - she was stalling even after the smash success of WAP and Up.)

Well if she’s attaching 4 year old singles then I’m expecting 300K+ first week.

There's no rule against it, they're her songs, currently without a home, and they were intended for the same album that she's hopefully going to release soon. Y'all would not care if they didn't have, give or take, 2 billion streams between them.

I also see that you're a Queen of Rap stan - she attached Big Difference to her recent album, which was produced alongside her single Yikes in 2020, the same year as WAP. So it shouldn't be a problem.

this talks about adding old singles onto the album, meaning they were already released smarty. big difference came out in dec 2023 along with the album. WAP came out in 2020 and its 2024 tomorrow… lmao. Thats like adding a 2016 single on a 2020 album :bibliahh:

Never take people at face value during their moments of anger - didn't Minaj announce her retirement in 2019, and yet she's still here?

People lie / change their mind.

Same chances as Normani debut album..... neither will ever be released :rip:

nicki released one of her biggest hits (TUSA) 2 months after her supposed retirement… so im expecting the same type of performance for CB2 if she changed her mind!

I estimate it selling 180k fw but.. we'll see about that :jonny6:

There's no rule against it so people can argue with the wall.

if it comes out… but anyways my guesses

Album Titles: Miss Dangerous, Dare To Be Different

Aesthetic: something darkish maybe like dangerous woman by ariana or the fans by lady gaga, but the music won’t be dark

Sound: similar to IOP, some trap and rap bangers

Features: SZA, Rosalia, Drake, Bad Bunny, 21 Savage, Bruno Mars, Latto, Lizzo, Playboi Carti, Future

it is incredibly desperate tho. she should technically be at CB3 already 💀

she’d be stupid for not adding them, like the album would already have 2 billion streams almost be certified 2x platinum. but i hope that she only adds them if the tracklist is long, i don’t want it to feel like they took a slot of another song

Sure, there's no problem with her adding Up & WAP on the album since it's not forbidden or anything however, ATRL gays literally drags artists that do this (with way more recent songs mind you) left and right. :deadbanana:

album success> atrl and twitter barbz opinions :michael:

SZA adding Good Days on SOS was already kinda side-eye worthy and that had a 2 year gap… but FOUR years? Nah thats just ridiculous.
