Damn. For an artist of his stature, his numbers are pretty mild compared to Em's, Ye's, and Drake's. 

 

Then again, he lacked pop appeal compared to them so it's still impressive from that context.

And Drake is close to being a billionaire himself. 

This ain't surprising.  He was always an album seller than a single seller ( outside of the Bey and Rih collabs and ESTM)

I will never understand that every time something about Jay z's music is mentioned his fans respond by saying he's a billionaire, good for him, too bad it's not for his music and that's not the purpose of the other artists mentioned.

I still don't understand how he is (was?) so popular in the US, but not at all in the UK

 

Just checked his stats, and 9 of his #1 US BB200 albums didn't even reach top 20 UK (some not even top 100)
