The fact that it actually happened and wasn't just a bit does not sit right in my soul

ugh looking at the nominees again it has gotten so boring how there's like... four, five shows max nominated for all the awards. especially the actor categories are mostly TLOU, Succession and The Bear.

Writing in a Comedy Series: THE BEAR (Christopher Storer - “System”)

The Bear has the most obvious sweep of the night so far.

I need to watch The Bear. I didn't know Ayo was even in it until a week or two ago, or I would have watched it a long time ago.

the emmys always letting shows sweep really makes it the most boring awards show:coffee2:

no, it truly started being a perennial thing thanks to covid.

    2019: 4 fleabag

    3 chernobyl

    2 thrones/maisel/ozark

only one had a majority. as with 2018.

    then jump to 2020:

    7 schitt's creek - 1st comedy clean sweep ever

    4 succession/watchmen

every genre had a majority win.

    2021:

7 crown - 1st drama clean sweep ever

    4 ted lasso

2/3 genres with majority win. Mare/Queen both strong.

    2022:

    5 white lotus

    4 ted lasso

2/3 genres with majority win. Succession/Squid both strong.

Not the creator of The Bear winning back to back and not attending. :toofunny3:
