She's obviously confident in her work & comfortable enough to make the music SHE wants to make. :) 

A certain demographic is mad that she's not making mediocre pop songs anymore that they tend to eat up from their favs.

Sis now you is the exact definition of REACHING. This song is 100% replay worthy I keep whoring the song and I'm not even a fan of Normani

IMO it's not catchy or memorable enough. All I recall is the line about Tik Tik Bump Bumpin' and the tin can background noises. Nothing else.
