Artists Whose Music Improved Greatly?

Featured Replies

Inspired by a certain other thread.

What artist or artists comes to mind?

For me it would be Björk. Her Debut is probably my least favorite albums of hers.

Miley had a dip around Younger Now, but the quality in her music started rising when she released She Is Coming+Slide Away

Lana's best album are BTD and UV tho

Taylor Swift tbh. Except Midnights is bad

1989 > Red > folklore > reputation > Lover > Speak Now > Fearless > Midnights > ST

Tove Lo went from Cool Girl / Habits to Pineapple Slice / NODFL :clap3:

This. She went from cringey Born to Die/Ultraviolence lyrics to getting better at crafting songs a la NFR!, COCC, and Ocean. There's even some really great tracks off Blue Banisters.

Charli XCX is another great example. I really couldn't care less for the True Romance/Sucker eras, but Vroom Vroom and on, she's on fire. CRASH was a bit of a letdown, but still better than her earlier releases.

Pretty much. I really don't care for any of her albums pre-dating Lover. When Lover came out, then folklore/evermore, and then Red (Taylor's Version), I now understand the appeal. Even Fearless (Taylor's Version) is better than the original.

she truly went from: "my ***** tastes like pepsi cola"

to: " there's a certain point the body can't come back from
in one year, we've learned the turn of the mouth
the depth that the chest cavity takes"

I'm sorry but is that Camala Cahello in your avi? I'm sure you have acquired a more refined taste for basicness! :clap3:

Beyoncé. Her music and visuals have always been top notch but she really went from good r&b and pop-leaning classics to making absolute genre bending masterpieces :clap3:

UV catered to top 40? Lmaooo

Kelela. All her projects are great though, she just keeps getting better. Didn't even think she could surpass Take Me Apart but she proved me wrong.
