"They had to come up with snappy episodics" is an ICONIC phrase already

Ok and tyra still gave them careers

But she didn’t really. All of those dumb photoshoots they made them do are not usable in any portfolio, the only runways they had were like Saw movies Jigsaw puzzles, the commercials they did were always either in a different language, uncomfortable situation or not even for real brands etc.

The only thing Tyra and that show gave them was humiliation, traumatising situations and lowered confidence levels.

It was problematic, yes.

It is iconic, absolutely yes.

I'm so sick of this "woke" people who are constantly bashing on shows from +10 years ago. Let's focus that energy for what's happening today instead

I can't wait for this omg

There were so many problematic moments like the Tiffany moment (Tyra just wanted a TV moment), Yaya microaggressions

and theyʻd be literal nobodies without the show, so...

The way audience switched in just 10 years. Some of the shit that happened on this show continued until the very end.

But the only way that these lashings will stop is if they remove it on streaming and stop making money from it. None of the contestants get any coins from it.

Many gen Z is just discovering how trashy realityTV was 15 years ago.

in today's context, yes it is problematic. but back then? nobody cared.

Iconic show, we need new seasons, but it'd probably be watered down so idk...

The race swapping episode is probably the wildest thing to come out of that show.

Modeling shows as a whole can’t really exist well in the current US climate, as judging anyone based off their physical appearance will be seen as unfavorable at best.

To see Angelia and da girl who took her crown, Lisa is wild 😂

I watched every season and gagged every time. I kno it’s so horrendous but back then it was prime tv

I guess it’s ok to put them in uncomfortable/dangerous situations and humiliate them then :cm:

The report is boring as hell, and that four women sounds like losers. ANTM remains iconic anyway.
