Giselle literally mentioned how she wants to do citypop, obviously in love with r&b. Not once did she ever mention "baddie" music  2hot4u to me has no redeeming factor and just sounds corny. Like there is no reason for the main VOCALIST to be given a better rap song than the literal main RAPPER (Ningning still slayed). My sister doesn't deserve to be set up like this and I have no choice but to blame the illusion producers who got too cocky after that song became big. I know I sound dramatic but if 2hot4u gets released it will officially be my 9/11!

Yeah there's been a lot of crossed signals when it comes to Giselle since the beginning tbh, idk why SM even decided to give her the rapper position when Karina constanly gets more and better raps on their songs. I think SM thinks native english speaker = rapper. I remember when they tried it with Tiffany aswell nn

Giselle is clearly a singer, she has a typical japanese r&b tone and that's pretty much why her vocals are all over the base melodies of aespa choruses.

I like 2Hot4U though

The difference is that Giselle actually AUDITIONED for the rap role unlike other female SM artists so she got what she wanted...just not in the same quality as the other members who are rapping without the main rapper position

Here's my take on lipsync. If a company is going to make their idols lipsync, then they better teach them how to do it correctly. Most of the acts don't even know how and you can clock them easily. Give me an illusion at least.

Woke culture is low key kinda dying, so there's that. Some of the things I have seen people getting offended over these recent times ever since the pandemic started though

Maybe you like screechers, but a true vocalist is supposed to sing with a relaxed throat and not strain too much while still having that resonance and power, and that’s exactly what Jeongyeon is in ICSM. And I tend to gravitate towards those kinda vocalists. Other such vocalists for me are DK and D.O.  Nayeonce has a great pop tonal quality but she strains way too much for me to fully enjoy her voice. She sounds much more pleasant and natural in songs like these imo
