To be honest, I don't understand what JK and Bangshit are trying to achieve here. If JK wants to be a pop star and Bangshit is so eager to push him, why are y'all going to promote him so much and then send him off to the army three months later?  It's just doesn't make sense.

To milk out as much profit as possible while they still can.

It's kind of a screech tho, JK still has 4 years before he has to enlist. If I were him I'd be waiting until he's between eras to do it rather than do it right as he's trying to launch a global pop star solo career

Fatou is a very strong, experienced leader who pushes Gabi, Sriya, and Nvee to be the best they can onstage  They also perform at Tomato Festival, and meet some of their Korean fanbase. They will have a cb + a world tour in 2025. It’s better if the remaining members enlist together.

I know but, like, when Jimin hit number one on HOT100 they did nothing to promote him. They let the song fall off the charts. Now they are giving JK opportunities that they have never given to any other member after member. If you're really not going to let the guy have a solo career, make him sacrifice his career for the group, why are you spending so much money and using your connections to try and get him somewhere? I just don't get it.

i think jk's cute and my opinion of bts has really turned for the better over time, i don't think they're the best but they make great songs here and there.

 

but HYBEs (and jk himself im sure) plan of pushing singles for the Western market then barely do anything of significance in said market beyond letting the fans go wild and stream the admittedly banger pop songs is so weird? Like-? At this point he should be taking those classes Ana de Armas took in 2016 where she went from cant speak English at all to suddenly being able to do full interviews by 2019. 

 

JK has the makings of an actual global (not just Asian specific) popstar and he could absolutely make waves stateside esp now that pop is back as the 'in' genre and we've had a dearth of fun pop males, The Weeknd is just not it honestly. Seven was a bop and a banger and this seems like it'll follow suit, but the lack of interviews, him still needing an interpreter, its all so-??? Like does the label actually care about giving JK a foothold outside of Asia or do they just want to milk his name until he enlists (which is lowkey ****** up)
