honestly SM picked the worst time to ditch kwangya. you'd think after the boom of chatgpt and AI voices/art they would take advantage of them and deliver something the industry's never seen before. what happened to the AI concept or was that just smoke and mirrors?

They're probably spinning it off to naevis' debut instead. So possibly her music will contain most of the KWANGYA stuff for now. Plus she's an AI character so it fits well.

 

Also aespa didn't completely drop KWANGYA in MY WORLD, but it was drastically reduced and more subtle.

 

Part of the issue is that KWANGYA is Lee Soo Man's baby and creation, and now that the company has kicked him out, they probably won't care about it in the same way. Though it still makes sense to continue it.
