A thread to touch on a few forgotten flops who seemed promising but eventually fizzled out. Feel free to add your fave

Alice Chater (2018-2020)

She was about to be pop's next biggest thing, the closest she got was that Iggy Azalea collab lol, but she got dropped and hasn't released since 2 years ago.

Era Istrefi (2016-???)

The original Albanian queen! She brokethrough with Bonbon but everything after failed to click unfortunately. She has some amazing bops though.

Pia Mia (2014-2021)
She got a smash with "Do It Again" but couldn't get the same success with her follow up "Touch". After leaving Interscope Records she was about to be the new face of the Pussycat Dolls Next Generation, but that was eventually axed. She briefly signed to Republic Records in 2020 before getting dropped the same year. Now she's moved onto Onlyfans, acting and releasing one song a year?

Ryn Weaver (2014-2018)

Indie-pop queen was making music with Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat and released her debut album in 2015. After years of silence, rumours of a second album started circling pop forums and her own twitter last year. Who knows if it'll see the light of day but she deserves!

Do you recognize any of these girlies? :celestial5:

Ryn's The Fool is such a gem.

I was listening to Runaway the other day and hair follicles were snatched I'm afraid..

Eliza Doolittle (had a big Disclosure collab and released her own album) and Jess Mills who changed her stage name to SLO or something. Oh and Kat Dahlia, I liked her debut but she fell off during her sophomore era.

Era Istrefi has so many bops :jonny5: I listen to Redrum & Njo Si Ti all the time  :katie2:

Alice & Pia have some bops too :jamming:

Ryn is so talented, her debut album is incredible. I hope she releases a second album someday

That bon bon song by era was actually amazing. I remember every girl wanting that exact same coat she wore in that video back then

I only remember the Bon Bon girl because everyone on social media compared her to Rihanna, we never heard from her after that. :santa:

we need her to move again like...

Alice never taking off is so sad because she’s one of the most talented pop girls out there with the right attitude. :noparty:

Pia Mia‘s music had always sounded cheap to me.

"OctaHate" is one of the best songs of the 10's, so of course I remember Ryn.

Yeah, one of the best things everyone involved (Ryn, Charli XCX, Benny Blanco, Passion Pit) have ever done!
