Because most people are afraid to get cancelled when they speak out against Big Pharma and surgeries on kids who don't even know santa is fake. JK is not and she gets the entire hate train. 

 

Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for people transitioning above the age of 18, I don't care, people should be allowed to live how they want, but let's not stick our heads into the sand for the sake of not getting cancelled.

JK is insufferable. She really thinks she is on a god forsaken mission to spread her hatred.

Say you know nothing about trans issues without saying it. Children transitioning is not them getting medical surgeries altering their genitals. Children transitioning can be them changing their name, their pronouns, and dressing in accordance with their gender. Allowing children to explore self-expression with their gender is logical and should be allowed in any context. Transphobes try to pervert this into children being indoctrinated and operated on. Do all trans children take hormone blockers closer to puberty? No. Do some of them? Yes. Who should make that decision? The doctor, parents, and child. If your child is experiencing a severe amount of gender dysphoria to the point where they are harming themselves and are risk of dying by suicide, then maybe a hormone blocker to relieve them of that dysphoria to strengthen their mental well-being and save their life is worth it. How families walk that tightrope should not be mandated by any government agency. 
 

Transitions are nuanced as hell and pretending that everything is about gender affirming surgery (or genital surgery) is abject disinformation for a vulnerable community. Maybe listen to trans people instead of women like JKR that hate the trans community.
