People using Mediatraffic and CM over real official charting sources will always be strange

The fact that you are giving it free promotion when people have moved onto chart masters  and things.

 

I didn't even know it was still in existence. Chile lemme peruse that site for nostalgia now

CM is still better than MT though, my only problems with them is: their stance on Chinese sales + the way they weight digital sales (see Teenage Dream)

 

But I agree, we will never have a good source for this, people love CM just because they have big numbers to brag about

To think they used to be the only website I was checking for charts  

At least chartmasters in the total CPS sales project the entire streaming impact.

Mediatraffic has albums only with the pure sales counted untill  2017 or something.

So you have album with 10x P in the Us alone but for them it has sold less WW.

It would be okay if only they still won't update their all time charts. So you have Divide at #87 on all time chart with 18-19M copies sold (all streaming) and 21 #19 with around 30-31M estimated, when it would be at around 40 if you use divide same metric.

People use CM because is the only way of knowing a close ww number. Also when official media like HDD has revealed number they were very close to CM.
