Is 2022 worryingly hit-less?

Featured Replies

I know yall hate Harry Styles, but As It Was was huge. I was forced into liking it after hearing it so often.

Bad Habits is also huge. There's been other vary widely known hits this year.

I’ve never heard the harry style song and I never will, god willing

Youth culture these days have **** taste or make songs from the 80s big again

Younger “artists” debuting are hardly musicians, hardly singers, so of course they’re going to make uneventful songs

Plus the idea of a pop star with influence and intrigue is really fading. The youths are more interested in influencers and TikTok cringe-acts

Yeah the charts seem super stagnant because of streaming and radio... and then TikTok just has almost random songs blowing up all the time its a very confusing time....

Plus not many major artists are dropping albums this year

Like I can't believe I'm turning on the radio and still hearing Heat Waves....

Break My Soul, Super Freaky Girl , and Hold Me Closer shouldn't be on your list OP.

Outside of MPG stan girl world, no one views them as 2022 hits.

Not BB being a minor hit and HMC a small hit :rip:

Either way, yeah, the only true smashes have been As It Was and RUTH, FC, WFU and some other have been hits but they really came and went. Hopefull Taylor will bring another hit but we're so close to the album release that I don't even know if she'll release the lead before the album :rip:
