The YouTube algorithm really pisses me off, you watch one video about a video game and suddenly your feed starts filling with straight memes and far right losers :deadbanana:

I get this too, it's really annoying. :deadbanana4:

I also hate how if you watch one 'self-help' or 'motivational' video, you get those cringey videos with super annoying dudes who allegedly make six figures running their own businesses, and somehow they manage to work-out, eat, shower, meditate, do their beauty routine, and choose their outfit before they've even started work. I know most of them are fakers, but damn it's so annoying. :priceless:

YES

Ads for this "mud water" would pop up on YouTube constantly. I don't even drink coffee. It was so irritating, I got so sick of this man's voice.

Have you ever been a victim of targeted white men ads? like, for example, my youtube/insta algorithm is PUSHING this white man as if there's no tomorrow and I truly have no idea who he is :deadbanana:

has this ever happened to you and who was the man to blame

as

Ads and feeds are curated on algorithms with dozens of variables, and race/ethnicity/skin colour are in some of those. Everything is actually; if you spend 3 seconds more looking at a picture of a hot white dude but scroll pass someone else of a different ethnicity, you are probably going to get less of them. So y'all are basically exposing yourselves declaring that :rip:

Youtube suggestions are based on your subscriptions and watched video history. If you disable everything and delete all history you will see that the "algorithm" isn't really pushing anything that you're not contributing to, cause it will always be the same few videos from what it has managed to gather :skull: For me it always shows Lana videos for example.

TikTok is more of a culprit in this, the app is heavily reliant on AI picking videos for you and it can't be turned off

the AI couldn't be less random even if they tried. Recommendations aren't based on who you follow/subscribe, etc. But instead on what you spend more time displaying on your screen and interacting with.

lol YouTube’s algorithm is terrible. This isn’t the “gotcha” moment you  thought it was.
