you forgot you need to calm down, it's nice to have a friend, miss americana and daylight (srry not sorry). Then we'd have an album that would be short and sweet as it should have been.

I think Masseduction was St. Vincent’s chance to become somewhat of a pop girl tbh, Daddy’s Home did very well back on the alternative/indie vibe, and it got Miss Clark yet another grammy 

 

as for the rest… yes i fear

 

(i do love a lot of songs on Lover though!)

not reputation stans keep making narrative that the better Pop album, Lover is doomed

 

the only people involved in its 3 awful singles are cursed

St. Vincent and Jack Antonoff who don't touch those tracks still have amazing career!

 

 

The Chicks were already irrelevant though before Lover - due to American hating on them for having an opinion on George Bush. Taylor was their first appearance on the charts I think since Not Ready To Make Nice 

 

Drake isn't over - he certainly isn't as huge as before but his name alone still draws album bombs and high debuts for people 

 

Brendon's career was simply a brief mainstream moment again - 13 years after debuting though. Still impressive. 

 

Shawn did himself in with his attempt at making a more mature and just being a boring idiot instead.
