Dan is like her Nathan Chapman. She'll keep him around for 1-2 more albums to establish her sound, and she'll start working with other producers.

this. i would be willing to bet that she wants to move onto jack antonoff during this era or for the start of the next era. a lorde tea. 

I’m excited for another era. I hope she leans more into the pop/rock genre with her sophomore.

G4U was co-produced by Dan and I feel like it was actually Alexander 23 who gave it its grittier, but still current, sound. I think that will still be their dynamic even if she tries out new producers, Dan will be kept around as a co-producer/supervisor to ensure coherence throughout the whole album and also because they make magic together.

Maybe this is unpopular but I'm more of a fan of the moody sound (drivers license) and less of the rock/poprock thing so I'm hoping it's more of that tbh
