Lover obviously. The fact is that anything Taylor will always be superior to anything by the other one.

Lover ate her up I fear. It has SONGS. Real songs. Melody and concept and tension and resolution.

Have people really listened to Lover, or just the singles? Because chile, Cornelia Street + Afterglow + False God + Death by a Thousand Cuts+ Daylight + Cruel Summer + Paper Rings all **** on any Renaissance song.

I’m a stan and I agree Lover has some of her strongest songs but no album with Me, YNTCD, The Man, IFTYE, Paper Rings/London Boy… one or two youthful/playful songs would’ve been fine but she was 30 making some of the most immature, tasteless music of her career, when she clearly was capable of folkmore level work as evidence of putting it out the next year. 

 

In Renaissance, helped by the transitions, but beyond that, every song is great. There are no duds. If you don’t get Black music you can say that lol like Beyoncé is heavily drawing on Black queer dance influences from the past multiple decades and doing it with the crispest production and flawless vocals and ppl are gonna say an album with ME! on it is better?
