I was going to make a thread for this album but had no idea she had this many fans here. Maybe ATRL isn’t so tasteless after all.

How many up-tempos versus ballads?

 

If you had to compare the sound to another of her albums, which would you say it's closest to?  

 

I am guessing lyrically it's probably on the sadder spectrum right?

It made me revisit my favorite albums of hers, and now I can't stop listening to 'Hero' and 'The Habit' like they're brand new songs to me after all those years

I love all of her albums but Back to Forever will probably always be my favourite, unless she somehow manages to top it.

the rest is kinda Up-tempo

night moves/ chasing the sun/hearts on fire   are Bops 

 

THe album is not that Sad it's more like her moving on after a  breakup and hoping her ex is sad 

Midnight is the saddest song half of it is  piano ballad

I can’t stop listening to Flowers. I wish the album was closer. 

The album is out today, everyone! Get to streaming, buy it on iCanyons, order it on vinyl, but what you should do is all of the above

I also just ordered the tangerine vinyl only to realize there was also an eggplant colored one available… a much more fitting variant for the queen of gardening pop  Oh well

I’m excited! I’ll definitely listen to it today and I’ll be sure to post my thoughts. I love all of the songs she released prior to the album coming out. Based from those songs alone, she might top Back to Forever for me.

A masterpiece indeed  In an ideal world Flowers would be a contender for SOTY / ROTY

Chasing the Sun and Hearts on Fire are absolute bops, at least BBC R2 should pick them up

Radio 2 do her and Lucie Silvas filthy considering how many "exclusives" they had of these women when they were signed to suits. 
 

OT - this is incredible. Picks up from 1-2-3 punch that was tiger-west. She's really been through it. I caught the reference to her instagram thing a while back. Glad to see she's come out the other end having channeled it into this incredible album. She really said "i'm not in the wrong here" - and it's such an important message given how rampant narcissism seems to be in modern dating.
