How powerful is Spotify's TTH?

Featured Replies

Now that TTH has helped the Havana songstress score another HIT in Bam Bam (Her last hurrah?), I'm inclined to think that TTH is truly too powerful.

It seems to me that as long as you've got a decent pop single and a book a long enough TTH residency you'll be pretty much guaranteed a Hit, Dua and now Camila can attest to that.

A lot, I mean Dua left Levitating there for one full year until it became a hit.

K bye for now, Sunshine. <3

A good song will do well. Like bam bam

A bad song like psychofreak will not do well even if it's on TTH

It’s power is way overstated on ATRL. Songs on TTH #1 constantly flop into absolute oblivion, and many under the radar songs get great streams before they finally get added.

the GP will mercilessly skip any song they don’t like, even if it’s on TTH

Agrih with this.

wasn't levitating out of the spotify charts before they added it to TTH?

It helps for exposure & promo, certainly way more than performing on some sort of late night show, but if the GP doesn't like it it won't become a hit. Stop acting like the GP are brainless sheep who eat up anything that's thrown at them :skull:

It's fun to drag certain girls for their year-long residencies though

We don't know because how many people are actively listening to the playlist is not public data.

It has over 30M followers but if most of those people clicked 'like' on it years ago how many are actually listening now? Go on your Spotify library right now and scroll through. How many playlists have you 'liked' that you have lying there but that you haven't listened to in eons?

Active listeners is what matters, not amount of likes on the playlist. And until/if they make that public we will have no idea how far these playlists really go.

Sweetest Pie, Oh My God and Psychofreak show it's not that powerful :bam:

No because the gp will skip songs they don’t like. They didn’t skip Dua lipa songs but they skipped all of Camila tth songs.

Right now the only exposure an artist can desire for, is tiktok! It can change the fate of any song. Not even live Performances are that effective right now.

Miss Cabello put +10 songs on the playlist since 2019 and none of them became a hit, so maybe it's not that powerful...for her.

This

Justin’s new song is #1 on TTH and he also have the cover, and it debuted at #25. So yeah, it still depends on the quality of the song.
