the other day someone said i must hate music coz they never see me say positive things in album threads. yesterday lily and demi released albums and i didnt really like either so
maybe theyre right.
it got me thinking about how decades of depression has kinda sapped the joy of a lot of things for me and now maybe that includes music. i read all the comments about people enjoying albums/songs (like a majority of people in the lily thread) and i just cant relate, which kinda sucks. 
im not in a good headspace. i dont wanna always be a downer

I think it's normal to feel like that at some point. I'm guessing you're talking about new music, because surely you still enjoy listening to your favorite music. 
 

As for that user's comment, you just should not take them seriously  I was told literally the same thing when sophie ellis bextor released her album, which I thought was horrible. It means nothing.

 

At the same time, I can't fully speak to your experience, but I thought I would share that.

 I barely post outside of this thread or Entertainment because I don't care about anything being discussed music wise and I've listened to two (2) albums this year and didn't like either of them

 

It doesn't help that music nowadays ******* SUCKS it is so depressing and introspective like where is the fun? Jesus christ

 

If anyone dares to release anything that isn't somewhat brooding they get dragged to hell and back for being generic and radio slop and never get bought up on this site again

I felt like dragging a lot of albums in 2024, but this year I've been more selective and mostly satisfied with what I've heard. I still haven't listened to either of Ethel's albums, and I have a feeling that I might not like them. Or I might end up liking the drone album more than the other one, which is probably worse.

I'm sorry  I bet you will get back to enjoying (new) music again, but you probably just need to switch it up doing something else for a while till you get that spark back. Listening to new music constantly is pretty exhausting honestly... I've been listening to just a handful of new albums over and over this year, and lots of old favorites. I just went through my backlog and I haven't listened tons of stuff I saved this year and probably won't get to

Maybe she should release a proper follow-up to Preacher's Daughter, those feel like buzz albums (sometimes literally)

 

Lee know being the last birthday live of the year makes me sad. He so chatty and adorable I'm even catching on a few Korean words now after all the lives I've watched of them. Lee pretty well spoken so he definitely the member I'd learn Korean from
