I won't go down without a fight, letting this era go down the drain like the others. I have decided to email Island Records' CEOs Justin Eshak & Imran Majid as well as Republic CEO's Monte Lipman personally about Demi's label mistreatment. Sharing my mail to Monte with you guys

Dear Monte Lipman,

Excuse me for this rather unexpected topic, but my favourite artist is Demi Lovato and she occurs to be under a very saddening label contract with Island. Her label has consecutively mishandled three of her album cycles, with issues of unprofessionality going on for longer than half a decade, ranging from severe lack of playlisting to zero airplay and barely anytelevised performances. Island's sabotage has resulted in Demi's last three album cycles all going under the radar, much to the dismay of Demi's fans who expected a career renaissance post-overdose. The truth is that the hype for new Demi music has never simmered down. When her song 29 went viral on TikTok in 2022, her label did nothing to push the song onSpotify or radio. Today, the public is still unaware Demi released her album It's Not That Deep, which is stacked with commercially viable pop hits waiting to happen. The fans – known as Lovatics – can only do so much of the heavy lifting when the harsh reality is that Island currently does not seem to care about Demi's success and refuses to do the bare minimum to get her name out there. Waiting for a TikTok trend to happen is not cutting it in the big year of 2026.

It hurts to say that Demi is still very young and easily among the most talented individuals of her peers. It is simply too early and insanely disheartening to see Island write her off as a legacy act when she could easily still be achieving hits with her consistently amazing output. She is an international household name with many smashes under her name and still racks in billions of streams through her older releases that actually received any form of label push. Former CEO of Republic Charlie Walk previously saw the potential in Demi when he seemed to be interested in signing her, but she was stupid to choose Island at the time because she and Nick Jonas had the same manager at the time. Demi has plenty of potential as an artist who has practically not peaked yet commercially and should be placed alongside the biggest pop stars of the 21st century, such as Republic's Taylor and Ariana. As of recently, Demi's old music has experienced a considerable resurgence in streams. I do not know what Demi's fans need to do for someone to see the same potential in Demi. Since I recently saw Demi posing with Max Martin (who helped produce Cool for the Summer) and a couple Republic executives at a pre-Grammys party, the only thing I wish for is for Republic to sign Demi. Would you be interested in savingDemi from the nightmare that is Island Records? Lovatics are on our very last straw and we do not know how to get in touch and enlighten Demi about her label situation.

Yours sincerely,

Newji

she should be the poster child for the manufactured popstars. its maddening to she her lauded as some kind of genius. her attention seeking sex shtick essentially giving her a career and then piggybacking the actual creatives; producers, photographers, writers etc...

anyway, the erottinga album is dull, droning, uninspired, and should be relinquished to the forgotten realm of vintage ***** soundtracks where it belongs

Screaming because I lowkey agree about Erotica... I haven't listened to it in ages, but it never grew on me like her others back when I had my little Madonka phase. I don't use any songs from that album. lakitu

Feeling like posting random thoughts today:

1) Following EDM DJs kind of sucks these days because they take even longer to release a studio album than the pop girls. If an artist takes 3–4 years or more to drop an album, honestly all my hype is gone. Sometimes they come back with something really mid and it's just not worth all the wait. Is gettin rare when they come with masterpices.

2) I recently moved back to my tropical town and it's been kind of a mess. I'm having a hard time adjusting. Living in a place with high humidity is tough, especially when it's also very hot. So many things have been going wrong — it's been a rough patch — but I have faith things will improve in the next months. I also feel like i connected too much to my old oceanic town and it was hard to move on from that space. This is the first time where movin to a new place been so hard and im someone adaptable to change

3) I went to H&M for the first time a few months ago and I wasn't impressed with their clothing. It looked cheap to me and the whole clothing-place smelled kind of strange lol. I went to one of the most expensive malls in my country, so my expectations were higher. I love everything Swedish, but I expected better. Sorry darling
I definitely find better things in amazon.

4) It's really hard to have nuanced political discussions in forums because you feel like you're under surveillance. You have to align with the views of the mods and admins. If they like cookies, you have to like cookies. Be careful saying you like Doritos. In political discussions, there are black, white, and gray areas

5) I've been doing deep research about my country, but it's hard because so much information is just lost. I was trying to look for popular songs from the 2000s, and my country doesn't even have official charts. So many old articles from the 90s and 2000s are gone. It really makes you realize how valuable knowledge preservation is.

Holy shiit, I just checked (in another browser) to see if this YT video was available for non-premium users because I was gonna put it in my sig, and I had to close out when it started playing a SECOND ad after the initial 30-second ad finished... Is that really what some people are dealing with to watch YT? Thank God () my brother has let me bum off his family YT account for years skull
