Some of these new fans don't even know what a BLACKPINK is, imagine thinking they're the same generation as ITZY

BP will always be my #1 gg but yeah i’m kinda over it as well

i’ll switch once those teasers drop though

Pre-Covid Gen 4 groups feel like their own separate generation to me compared to the groups who are debuting now.

What? All of them started to dominate in 2015/16 when the 2nd gen was completely over. I do agree that the groups that are debuting now are new gen but (G)idle or ITZY?  In fact I think aespa it’s probably the fist big group of a new gen, but that’s only the beggining, when BP and BTS truly fell off, aespa will be old news already.

the fact that LOONA and GIDLE are considered to be in the same generation as let's say IVE or aespa feels really weird

they feel so... different from each other but at the same time it kinda makes sense to put them together

Oh you said 2nd gen was 2007-2015  BTS debuted in 2013, RV in 2014 and TWICE in 2015

Didn’t BB, WG and SNSD started to dominate 2007 onwards?  BTS, Red Velvet and TWICE started to dominate in 2015 onwards. They were irrelevant before.

Are you new to kpop??? Exo started the gen and they debuted in 2012, while BB and SNSD were still dominating. BTS smashed in 2015-16 while they debuted in 2013. At this rate we are still stuck in 2nd gen because BB are still smashing. You guys say anything médias keeps calling these groups 4th gen what do you want???

I'll grant you its a bit local compared to Eleven in terms of spotify, but in the end it's still K-pop and these girls all still generate the majority of their revenue in Korea.

EXO is like aespa, on the middle of the gens. And well, it’s only my opinion (G)Idle and ITZY only debuted two years after BP  and both got a smash right at the debut, how are they not from the same generation when they peaked at the same period of time (2016 - 2022…)? 

We all need to remember the suffering of being a Blink when Baemon happen.

It's not worth investing yourself  The fact that they have the biggest girl group ever and yet they have just over 20 songs and one album it's a disaster  

The new gen has started it’s just that BTS and BP became the biggest groups ever in the genre and the other top third generation groups are still thriving. 

The whole gen thing is absurdly dumb and not worth the lengthy discussion

So in regards to BP. I know the hiatuses were a strategy at the beginning but are their hiatuses now YG still taking advantage of a formula that has worked time and time again (even though they’re guaranteed huge success without lifting a finger) or? Because they really aren’t making money without them.

I really only stan Wendy and Suelgi. The other three are kinda useless. Joy is the true mean girl of the group, and I KNOW she manipulated hagRene into becoming a monster in order for ha to become the most popular member of RV.
