not gonna lie guys getting a lil frustrated with itzy.. they should be doing grown music by now! ANYWAY they are still my girls and i hope this new song smashes harder than sneakers

As a casual follower of aespa's music, all I care about is when they will drop another excellence like Savage album

I like most of Girls' new songs, but the album did not top their 2021 bible :alexz:

is it just me or SM has too many groups/acts to debut the new ones?

4 NCT units + NCT Japan planned and NCT Hollywood planned (?)

Red Velvet + RV soloists

EXO + EXO soloists

SHINEE + SHINEE soloists

SNSD + SNSD soloists

aespa

SM Station

like if you count them all that's A LOT

can they be considered as the McDonalds of kpop? no shade just wondering

SM rarely debuted new groups, and invests in them. That's not McKpop'd.

The true McDonalds of K-POP is probably HYBE or JYP. But HYBE actually produce quality, so it's JYP.

well, if it's full English like people are suspecting

you can count Korea out, but who knows worldwide

but it sounds cute :michael:

They should be doing what gidle or lesserafim doing. I wont mind an orange caramel type of camp concept but they are doing straight up kindergarten music :monkey:

Is this new itzy english release is the one JYP said that its his favorite song? If so I dont know if I should be excited or not. He gave Itzy their worst songs :skull:

SM is definitely the McDonald's of K-Pop

the oversaturation and constantly pushing out release after release

debut after debut, more, more more

and they definitely don't care about quality, they just keep pushing

I fear things started going downhill for aespa after their underwhelming Coachella set :gaycat6:

Something is coming @ YG

the way they released TREASURE & Chanhyuk's comebacks both in October

literally only 2 weeks away from each other, they never release 2 projects in a month

something is coming in November and I think their name is BAEMON :duca:

YG finna shake the table and industry again!

As we've seen from the long period of contract negotiations, MX is still pretty useful for Starship. They still have something over IVE and that's touring. They just made millions from the US tour. But they will start enlisting soon so if they want IVE to tour they will need to expand their discography. I'm hoping that'll be sooner than later bc these single albums are not it.

Ofc MX are super useful, they are SS main boy group, as Cavity is not taking off one bit, but that's the thing, a boy group's impact has a limit once they repeatedly fail to get hits, or overall gp recognition, and the sales grow stucks or falls at one point because of the lack of reach to a wider audience, that's the case with other acts like Astro, and the NCT brand who failed to grow exponentially from 2021 to 2022, unlike Stray Kids or even Seventeen. IVE will get further than MX easily is just a matter of time, they are not even one year old, 3-4 mini albums and they are good to go. I love MX's music way more but when they were on their first few years they weren't remotely close to how big Ive is currently.

Yes, they have too many acts but I mean if you are in a big company and get fair treatment would you go on your own and risk your own hard earned money on a possible not so successful career?

SM has managed to keep many of their acts and everyone gets their stuff, they have this mindset to create this big "family" and well that shows they have a long trajectory as an entertainment company. However I don't think they are saturated, see, acts who aren't successful get less comebacks than the ones who are more relevant, and they even collab with each other, Taeyeon, has a collab with both Key and Taemin for their solos, also Taemin as the most successful solo act from SHINee gets the most comebacks and well, I think it's great overall and what's the point of having 3 acts on your roaster and then letting them rot in the basement like YG acts.

Be Truthful challenge::bibliahh:Who cares about quality or innovation?? YG?:gaycat6:

The reason for aespa’s underperformance is not releasing Illusion as the title track. Fight me on this. Or not I don’t care.

More than that, they should have pushed after seeing how it was smashing a studio choom performance and more music shows stages could have done the trick, It was like, wow a hit?? Let's avoid it lmao.

PLEASE

SM makes some of the worst music as a company

their title tracks don't even be that good and let's not even get on the b-sides

UN-LISTENABLE!

they may be experimental with their music

but it don't be good..:michael:

Who do y'all think is paying for all these Wonyoung is chinese articles?

HYBE or SM?

Speaking of SM

I'm literally listening to one of SHINee's older albums

why didn't SM let them re-record some of those sloppy and lazy runs?

they were just in that studio grunting, growling and just THROWING notes around

"Mama, she was singing off-key on the record"

The lies

Who will be the first Big4 company to debut the next big solo star (who didn't come from a group). Like, who will give us the next BoA, Rain, or Se7en?

This simply isn't true. I don't get the anti-SM movement in here while stanning acts like BP and SKZ :rip: SM's songs may not be your cup of tea, but they're not bad by any means. YG and JYP have been the most unlistenable for me in recent years, but other people find value in their music for reasons I'll never understand. That's all to say that music is subjective babes

I'm not anti-SM at all

but I can't be fake and say that don't have some of the worst music
