NMIXX is basically a ripoff of aespa and we got people saying they’re Itzy 2.0 when Itzy never released a song like Dice and OO at most Dice beat drop is similar to gas me up.

We all know Girls is a flop but you all thinking it has SM "considering" how to promote Aespa is so funny like Girl Red Velvet had the most comebacks close to each other when they flopped HARD, RBB, ZZB, UU and Psycho comebacks are close to each other despite the total floppage. Same goes to NCT back when they used to sell like 150k per release. SM doesn't care about the 300$ they didn't earn because of Girls flopping.

To be fair, these new bg debuts all sound the same

yall didn't support groups like WINNER and IKON that although aren't gen 4

they released something different than what the majority are

So far I have 6 songs I really really like am obssessed with: Red Velvet - Bamboleo, WJSN - Last Sequence, OnlyOneOf - gaslighting, H1KEY - Athletic girl, STAYC - Young Luv, Kang Daniel - Ride 4 U

 

Get into these bops

 

 

I think it would be fun to do multiple categories, like best album, best mini-album or better yet to have a separate ranking for boygroup released songs only. We're gonna have only songs that ranked high on MelOn + some outliers like Twice anyways.

Companies are hesitating to debut new boy groups these days, due to girl groups being more popular in general.
There are only six 4th gen boy groups that are successful right now which are SKZ, TXT, ENHYPEN, TREASURE, ATEEZ, The Boyz in that order, with SKZ and TXT leading. All 4th gen boy groups except for those 6 I listed are total flops. Other companies know that if they were to debut new boy groups, it will almost be impossible for them to compete with these 6 boy groups listed except for SMNBG. 
 

The situation with 4th gen boy groups is kinda like in the 3rd gen where there was only a few dominant groups and it was harder for other groups to outdo and surpass them. 
The success ranking among the 4th gen boy groups is very clear compared to 4th gen girl groups where the 4th gen girl group leader changes every month.

Feel like aespa headed to an EXO sort of career huge blow up song at the very start huge sales along with it, they’ll chart but it won’t be PAKS and RAKS and all of that but they’ll have the memorable hits the great sales and the sold out tours.
