Really like how “natural” the Newjeans mv felt. Well as natural as Kpop can get. Feels very fresh. It’s like Kpops answer to Olivia Rodrigo

i feel like third gen had a little less of that which is why people are surprised, but the average age of SNSD at debut was like 15... krystal and sulli were the same age as these girls at debut, KARA jiyoung and hara were like 14 and 15, taemin was, sohee and hyuna in wg were... 

Yeah the Korean government introduced some  strict  laws on minors working in 2014. (Can’t work more than 35 hours if you’re under 15, or 40 hours if you’re under 18, can’t work between 10pm-6am etc.)

 

I think that initially scared some companies off debuting minors in the 3rd gen, but the industry has now adapted to those rules. (Music Shows used to be filmed at 4am  Now its 7am ) and companies are back to debuting idols very young again. 

So kpop is debuting 2008 born kids now…

i guess Twice will be the last group I wholeheartedly stan because the girls are basically my age.

all these 4th gen and 5th gen groups, I’ll continue to appreciate the music and direction I like from a distance

Remember when idols used to all have to wait around backstage for HOURS just to stand on stage & not win and then go home.  Times were rough. I’d be trying to escape too.

To think some of these '08 idols were like 3 5 years old when this iconic MV was released.

Min Jesus took the hybe money but said no to their vocals. Good for her. I like their rollout. You get a good idea of their music and vibes before the actual debut.

I liked both WINNER and IKON's title tracks  

 

also there were several users in here conceding that JIKJIN was a pretty good song for Treasure.

 

YG only having 4-5 Korean releases this year so far is sending me tho

Imagine if the daughter Kim Minyoung was forced to have in Japan when she was in middle school were able to debut in this group and belt out a proper vocal chorus.

She sounds extremely Australian to me.  Unless she is Australian-Viet. One of the other girlies is Australian too right? So many Australian idols in the fourth gen compared with to 3rd
