Yeah, the mental gymnastics and unoriginal drags against aespa is so funny in here  and I’m saying this as somebody who likes BP and aespa equally and stan neither of them. 
the things with some of y’all are dragging aespa’s performances are not really drags. They were expected before they even performed. And this is merely a mediaplay tactic for SM while giving some exposure to the girls in the US. Nothing to pull your hair out for.

people ik who weren't even kpop fans or just had cursory knowledge of it were talking about 2ne1 reunion, even my friends who aren't kpop fans were excited that the naega chae chalnaga girls were back if you were a teenager during the early 2010s, 2ne1 songs are kind of way more recognizable and remembered than any bp songs but that doesn't mean bp music isn't better

And still doesn’t change the fact that BP first appearance at Coachella is litterally one of the biggest moment in Kpop. They even had the Locals on twitter perched for them 

 

KTL,D4 and HYLT are wayyyyyyy more recognizable than I’m the best

I’m actually very impressed with Giselle’s vocal inflections and her ability to project towards the crowd while rapping. She’s a legit rapper and I didn’t even know because they had never sung live before

 Aespa is the most entertaining group. Everytime they’re active people are able to write long essays.

Winter being perfect and robotic even at Coachella I love her, she never looks nervous at all.
