I'm sure Interscope is the one who made her release Single Soon. Selena doesn't have the same passion for music like she used to have in 2015. I'm sure she's just like: ''ok Interscope, i have those songs. I like this, this and this but you guys can tell me which you wanna release'' 

I just don't get how Interscope let a Karol G and Selena G collab go to waste like that... i mean, both are signed with them. It just don't make sense.

I've heard this collab is from 2018, Karol G wasn't as big as she is now I think. Anitta recorded two versions of it in 2019 and 2020 supposedly.

I am 100% sure she intended to release an album last year in the summer. Idk what happened but we are still here and waiting. Another thing i noticed is well, She Is Coming by Miley Cyrus came out and that is right when she announced the album was being finished. So i think MAYBE there is a link between She Is Coming and Rare.

Apart from that i wanted to give Worst Thing another shoutout.

Saying this, the Karol collab that leaked was the one that supposed to come out this year, it was recorded in 2018 and revisited two years ago. It has another version that hasn't leaked

I couldn't speak when this happened but it is really annoying how Selena is always trashing her music career when it's the one that got her a fanbase, maintained her name and it's her most successful venture (besides RB). She is always threatening to retire instead of just enjoying the momentum or giving the fans what they want. The moment she releases music, she cares about charts and if it flops, she gets disappointed or mad (Rare, Love On, etc). , if the song becomes a hit, she becomes motivated.

 

She's at a point of her career where she can experiment in everything she wants and music is not something that stagnates her , she could do music and acting if she wanted at the same time but I think she is starting to see music as a bad side of her when she's not. She has tons of hits, unreleased gems and a flawless discography. She knows how to make hits, why is she always thinking she's not capable of singing?

 

It's sad that it's the first time in her career that she said there's no music coming atm , even though there were some upcoming projects. Interscope made her scrap the happy album she wanted and I see why she's mad, but why was she teasing more Fetish-GFY-Wolves sound? When she has a manic episode, she runs to music. I really hope she finds peace where she can see what she has built all these years. Like she acts she never performed on stage when she has 5 world tours. And it's not like in the past years she dedicated to music tho, she barely released stuff and that's why she started losing audience, it's not 2016-2019 anymore where she was everywhere and she could still get hits without moving or performing
