Because that would be dumb. Rihanna makes most of her music revenue on tour. She just can’t drop an album pregnant and unable to tour for like a year… all the hype would die down and people wouldn’t care as much anymore. Mind you Rihanna is a billionaire now. She’s not going to drop an album just for fun and not making anything out of it. 
 

She has a whole new age gap to bring in too. High schoolers that just graduated were only 11 when ANTI dropped. She’s going to want to promote and be everywhere to get those fans engaged as well…

 

And y’all can’t be mad at Rihanna’s “lies” when COVID started in 2020 and she’s been pregnant ever since. These things are out of her control…

I feel like it should be the opposite of this if anything. Back when music was her main source of revenue this argument would've made sense, but now that she doesn't really need that income in order to keep raking in millions it would be more logical for her to just have fun with it. Unless you're arguing that the more money someone has the greedier they get, in which case: yup, so true.

Lol you want her to just have FUN with the freedom she worked hard for? 
 

She dropped 3 albums. One which was commercially successful (GGGB) and still went bankrupt in 2009. She despises the label and the people that are higher up than her. They just seen her as a cash cow for years.. which is why she was eager to branch out and make money other ways. 
 

If she dropped an album just for FUN like you say you know who she would be making money for? Not for herself but the music industry…. The people she worked so hard to take the control away from.
 

It’s not about greed it’s about the power she built up until this point and she deserves to release music in the best way that works for her.

I'm sorry but I truly don't care about the prospect of her being able to make even more money.  And what's the point of being free if you can't have fun? Not everything has to be an investment.

Dropping an album while pregnant just isn’t something Rihanna would do…. She takes her music seriously especially now. 

Do we think an album underperformance can impact her businesses or are they independent entities with no link? She may be scared of that idk

Her brands are established enough at this point to stand on their own....also, I just don't see her flopping. The album may not be widely successful but the hype for R9 alone will keep it from flopping.

I don't think is necessarily for R9 but I do believe this beat was sent to her a while ago for R9. and she passed on it. sounds like something Travis or Kanye would've sent her for ANTI.

Yeah sorry i edited it but it’s interesting to note how her voice is on it. Probably a scrapped demo
