Kiss It Better lost against a Maxwell song I think, it was Needed Me that got beaten by Cranes In The Sky.
 

Though I love Needed Me and would’ve loved for it to win, I do think Solange deserved that award. You can’t really do her dirty like that lol. A Seat At The Table is a masterpiece and deserved Grammy recognition. It should’ve been nominated and won for Best R&B Album or whatever the other R&B album category is, then maybe Needed Me would’ve had a higher chance in R&B Performance.

 

I do wanna echo what some members have mentioned in terms of Rihanna’s position with critics. She’s always lacked recognition with award shows and, despite the increased acclaim during her hiatus, I do think we should remember that so we don’t get our hopes up too much.
 

I agree that an Oscar nomination in itself is a huge achievement if it happens (I’m sure it will) and that it does add another layer, albeit small, to her legacy.

On another note, seeing how Miley Cyrus’ catalogue streams are increasing with her new single drop is getting me v excited about what Rih’s stats are gonna look like after the Super Bowl and a future single/album release. I’m expecting big numbers

But Miley's case is different... She had pretty bad numbers up until now. This is blowing up a lot and I don't think it will be replicated soon. 

 

Shakira is also having a great moment and her catalog boosted for a day and a half... Then bluf again. 

 

Same with Sam Smith... Look at how huge Unholy has been/is... Yet his catalog and new song after that didn't work the same way. 

 

Rih has already amazing catalog numbers tbh

it’s weird how they never reissued the album with more songs old or new.

4FS, BBHMM, AO would make sense on a new edition of Anti as they were originally intended to be on the album

All I can say it that there will be no setlist that will satisfy us even at 70%. Everyone will be like "how didn't she include this and that song?". Her hits are countless. I just will not accept choices like paying Umbrella dust like she did on Vanguard performances where she spent 2,5 mins singing ****ing Work! I still can't digest that.

Of course no one will be 100% satisfied... But leaving Diamonds out and including WMN? that is just not acceptable

WMN? Is a Rih classic it will absolutely be performed 

Diamonds and We Found Love are the only 100% locks on that set list. Other than that, she can choose from a vast majority and no song is safe
