I was thinking about this, but it's going to feel like she isn't herself. Remember the Vogue performance on Fashion Rocks. It was 100% lipped and she focused on choreo. Yea it was not bad, but it was not her.

EVERY HALFTIME SHOW HAS HAD PRERECORDED VOCALS. It's just a matter of having the best show possible. It's not a matter of how good the performer is... Bruno Mars and Beyonce are amazing live performers and THEY HAD prerecorded vocals

I’m starting to feel like she’s gonna give us a Bruno/Weeknd type show

I really hope she sticks to the prerecorded vocals like most of the performers before her

She will most likely pre-record for most of it, but she will 100% sing Diamonds (and probably Love on the Brain) live.

Yup. This just reminded me, in 2015 (after her Rock In Rio set) I tweeted that I like that she always sings live & doesn't lip to pre-recorded vocals, and she liked my tweet

I don’t see her to dancing while performing Diamonds or LOTB so her singing them live is expected. I was mostly talking about the songs where she’s gonna have to dance. She’s a completely different performer when she does ballads vs uptempos.

Interesting. Bruno definitely had zero production (I had to re-watch it, I completely erased it from my brain) and I found it extremely boring.

 

The Weeknd, on the other hand, had SO MUCH going on. The stage with the extras in the background, the indoor set with more extras and all the light bulbs, then back to the stage (which I admit felt a bit long and redundant) and then the final part on the actual field with sooooo many extras (this part gives me chills, I love it). So I think from that perspective, they're different.

 

Personally, I'd rather see something closer to The Weeknd's performance, rather than Katy's.

There's no way she is doing something like that. She booked Parris Goebel for a reason. Parris is working wonders with Rihanna. I put my faith in her.

Yeah I'd be shocked if she gives us a minimalistic show....not after all the production that goes into the Savage shows. I think her choreo will be limited but I expect her to move around quite a bit all over the stage, have tons of dancers/backdrop props, and for it to be a high production show.

Releasing anything just before the Super Bowl would be too risky imo. Could kill the hype for the Super Bowl.
