I have a friend who works at a DSP. 

The production is NOT what I expected. In the party it sounds a lot more heavy but the studio version sounds really light. It’s very minimalistic. It was a bit of a shock.
 

Her delivery on the part where she says “shake it make tick tick tick tick bum-bum-bump it” is sickening. 
 

The bridge where she says “sweet like candy” features vocals from The Absolutely (Abby) who is Raye’s sister and it’s the best part of the song for me. 
 

It will take a few listens to get it but once you do, it’s addictive

 

Also I fear that DUI is going to be a VERY polarising within the nation. The hook low-key reminds me of blinding lights. 

just a tad bit upset it’s not an *immediate* earworm cause what if people decide to just not tune back in after the first time?? but it’s good to know that everyone who has heard it likes it.

it is hard to tell if i like the snippet with so much crowd noise in the room . it is possible i will like the actual version more.

I gagged a bit - but I'm ready. It's good to have in my that it will def sound a little bit different at least. It's okay tho that happened with Wild Side too, it felt so different to what the first snippet gave (even in terms of certain parts of the production) but I still enjoyed it a lot. I'm sure for the GP it will be those type of songs that simply click after a while. 

 

Excited about the DUI track. Loved what we have so far. 90s disco vibe + Blinding Lights hook, I love it. I was thinking it was going to be a soft ballad like Fair from what someone had said, I'm glad it's not. Do you guys think there's any chance she'll drop both together?

I wonder if that made it? I have an inkling that the album changed directions a bit after Tunji left RCA and Keep Cool basically stopped existing within the label.

i felt like Wild Side was great on first listen but it took like 5-10 listens before I REALLY loved it. With enough radio promo, I anticipate Candy Paint will grow on the public too and give Miss Mani a smasha!!!

I'm bracing myself to expect something else with the studio version. I always play leaks dowwnnn from my favorite artists and the mastered version is different. But I always prefer the rough cut in all cases I cannot. At least this one is just a snippet but I've been playing it out
