Lady Gaga

This is part 1 of the Lady Gaga discussion.

anyone know when Gaga's contract with interscope will end? I know she had renewed it and I bet she got LOTS of privileges on how much control she can have and percentage cuts and stuff since she is still one of their biggest artists but my gosh I am praying that once this latest contract ends that she signs somewhere else...interscope is quickly turning into the new Epic Records

Is American radio suddenly not ageist? They're the reason Shallow did not have multiple weeks at #1.

Gaga has the power to tell Interscope to push it on radio but sadly I dont think she cares that much. I mean maybe she wants it to be organic. But Interscope should know better. If they are not capable of being decent they may hand the promotion to Atlantic tbh.

i mean was there even a thing such as an "organic hit"?

ppl need to be exposed to the music/artist before anything else and that requires money

If radios not playing this (literally biggest song right now) , they're not touching anything on LG7 :swim2:

I was shook when i find out KIIS and Z100 alone plays Sabrina more than 100 times everyday, every 15 minutes.

Its up to her useless label and nothings wrong with Gaga or her music, its just money talks.

How's Birds of a feather doing on radio? That's a way to see if we should blame Interscope, Bobby, both of them or both of them and Sarah Tanno.

I'm so ******* tired of all the complaining about radio. This isn't 2011 anymore. They are slow af to add new hits to their rotations. It's nothing new and has only gotten increasingly worse since the pandemic. Songs take forever to climb and stay on top forever. Considering it's getting 300+ spincreases every day, and getting decent play from bigger stations already, it's doing perfectly fine. Are people really expecting it to be Top 10 there already or something? :rip:

y'all are gonna be gagging over radio when it's the reason the song is still Top 10 in November

Cate Blanchett really is a goddess. :jonny6: Getting the Armani Prive gowns on point for Venice.

Its #10 on overall radio

I think DWAS is doing great on radio. It is gaining more than 1m AI daily and the only song doing it now. Radios will start spamming it once fall starts. It's a good fall/winter song.

So, it's Sarah's fault.

Armani is heavenly sponsoring Venice this year, at Beetlejuice's premiere today a lot of people wearing the brand.

Some of y'all have the patience of a toddler tbh. Relax and enjoy the global smashery, which is difficult to get 16 years in, not everyone has that.

DWAS is literally the biggest gainer on radios everyday since it's out.

Gurl, radio is more than fine. How can the song jump to top 10 in week 2? Impossible these days.

What do we think she's wearing for Venice? My bets are on custom Valentino or Versace because of her longstanding relationships with both but maybe she'll go for a more inspired choice  :WAP:  she'll probably stick to Italian labels to honour her roots

Yeah I don't get the whole radio thing. Comparing DWAS to PPP , it seems like DWAS is doing rather well on radio? PPP was released June 6 but didn't hit 10M on radio until a month later (BOAF took longer than PPP as well). DWAS was at 12M after its first week :rip:

Please Please Please (released June 6):

June 29 — 9.9M

July 6 — 15.5M

July 13 - 19.3M

It took PPP 2 weeks to go from 9.9M to 19.3M (9.4M increase). DWAS has been increasing an avg. 1.19M daily for the past 4 days, assuming it maintains this from its Aug 24 Radio update to Sep 7, it will increase at least 16.6M (16.6 in 2 weeks vs 9.4M in 2 weeks).  DWAS isn't doing bad, at all.

Die With A Smile (released Aug 16):

Aug 24 — 12.9M

Aug 31 -

Sep 7 —  28.5M (+16.6M prediction)

Jumping in just to say that I am proud to be a fan of Lady Gaga. She will survive everything in this industry, just because she has already done all the crazy stuff at her beginnings, now she enjoys the respect that she deserves.

Y'all should be more concerned a few months later when DWAS is stuck at 100m+ and refused to come down and casts infinite hell loops on radio. :lmao:

I believe that Espresso was also an active single and hence PPP had a slower start?
