What a well crafted dance-pop song. The backing beat in the verses is more innovative than your average pop song and the euro dance synths in the chorus aren't dated in a bad way. The artsy lyrics in the verses are so Gaga (and fit with the theme of the album) and the chorus is insanely explosive and catchy (even though the melody is more dynamic than most pop hits). One of the best hits in the past decade that just makes you wanna dance. And it just has Gaga written all over it. The quality compared to Roar is just night and day. May 15, 20224 yr comment_21717548 I've just came to the conclusion that the calmer; mid paced pop songs in Gaga's discography are her strongest (ARTPOP title track, Heavy Metal Lover, Paparazzi, Electric Chapel, etc). We all know that Gaga is the queen of explosiveness but it's something about these ones that just make you more easily focus on the production and her voice. If she ever pairs with the right producer and wants to do another electronic pop album (after her much needed Rock album next), I would love for it to be in the slower / more psychadelic vein.
