I honestly have the strong sensation she's not gonna win, Disney is gonna campaign harder for Rihanna, she's probably going to perform the song at the Superbowl as well, not to mention I can see her winning the Globe easily which will give an extra push to her, they're not going to give a third Globe to Gaga this soon and for a Tom Cruise movie.

Rihanna can still miss getting a nomination for BOS. We really don’t know if the academy will embrace her (and her fraudulent writing credit). Rihanna has had multiple movie songs in the past and she has never been nominated before.

 

I definitely believe Lift Me Up will win the golden globe. Gaga and Tom are going to pay that show dust, while Rihanna will be sitting in the front row. 
 

But this is just the beginning of the award season. We will have a better idea about what this race looks like after December. Of course, Rihanna can be a front runner. Just don’t underestimate Gaga and how loved Top Gun is by older white men/the academy 

 

I think HMH is still the frontrunner. LMU being the only realistic competition is actually good news, other years have been far more competative.

If they didn't have issues to finally accept Beyoncé last year, when she has an actual past of being rejected for not contributing enough to a song and being snubbed for another, I don't see them rejecting RIhanna for this project, (it's not impossible though).

 

However I don't necessarily disagree with you overall, but my advice is to not count your chickens before they hatch.
