I wonder what’s stopping her. The playlist she released before the album drop was quite progressive and something diverse and then she dropped C worded album, apart from a mix of genres here and there. I could come up with a few reasons:

1) The label disapproved - they knew she is still relevant and having her release music that is completely different from what she usually does would alienate her audience and can potentially cause losses in revenue. The same happened with Joanne.

2) Lady Gaga’s mind - maybe the scar on her mind PUT YO ******* HAND UP Replay Live.mp4. But yea, what I’m trying to say is that maybe she’s still scared to release the album she has envisioned because of that ARTPOP Fiasco, which is why she played it safe with working BloodPop. 

 

But then again, at the end of the day, I couldn’t give a **** about those, since I liked C worded album a lot and it was joyous to see her going back to the dancefloor that she owned! But at the same time, I would love to see her pulling something different, I just know she has the potential to do that. Maybe we will see that one day!

I'm leaning more towards the second one. There's always been a part of her that has craved the public/fans validation so why take the risk and jeopardize all of the goodwill/success/accolades she received post-ARTPOP? I don't really blame her when she got the Grammys, Oscar win and performanceS, acting acclaim, #1 global smash, industry respect, etc. but at some point you gotta stop catering to the GP or your old fans.
