There was a lot of hit material on Smile actually. A better album cover, Cry About It Later, Tucked, and potentially Champagne Problems were hits. I was playing Champagne Problems and my manz was like THIS IS KATY PERRY?!?!

I'm starting to think that she may have prepared something special with Wonder for the next days. Just think about its lyrics and concept, it matches this space thing so well and also this will be the last week before tour's start so I def expect something (considering the special countdown she's been doing)

She sounded great but she could have used some backing vocalists in parts. The one thing i dont like is the way she pronounces Baby in Firework! She is always breathless on that word and it shows haha. She did the fourth one better.

Actually the fact that she sang almost acappella shows her ability even more (especially on a extremely challenging song like Firework) and lets her voice sound so resonant and powerful. Actually I wish she does more performances like this.

Gurl she had full musical backup, there was no acappella at all.

I said "almost". I mean there were only a piano and a double bass playing live, no backup track (thank god for once). I repeat, it was a remarkable performance vocally.

It wasn't almost acapella either lol. If anything, you could say it was acoustic.
