Yeah this is what I wanna know. I don't have high expectations from her team because they've been incompetent af for years now but  Katy finally seems to have remembered who she is and she's got that "I'm that bitchh" attitude back, so based on that I'm holding out hope that the rollout is gonna be at least decent.

By the way, those fake Twitter journalists are trying to frame her with these higher expectations that she will make a comeback like Mariah Carey.

 

Despite the fact that I wish this to her in every possible way, it must be remembered that Mariah had a flop gap of 3.5 years (not 7 years), during which she managed to release two Top 3 US hits ("Loverboy", "I Know What You Want"), one Top 15 hit ("It's Like That") and one Top 25 ("U Make Me Wanna").

 

Also she has performed almost at every possible ceremony and public shows around the globe, like multiple 9/11 tributes, SuperBowl, Oprah Winfrey Show, etc.

No one is believing the Mariah comeback thing lol, he's just saying it just for the sake of saying it. She'll be lucky to have a comeback with a top 15 like NRO at this point, let's aim for that for now. Her team has stopped pushing for anything above #13 on TTH recently, so we can't expect success as long as the gp doesnt even know she returned.

Basically. She needs to have a great reception and build a bridge to something huge.

I think her problem is that she takes too much time between her releases, and because she has waited for a few years she just wants to play it safe and goes back to basic pop again. We have been hearing about the acoustic record and a dance record for years and I remember her saying in the Witness World Wide that she sometimes writes songs for a future record in mind, like Into Me You See was probably going to be for the acoustic record but she liked it on Witness instead. Remember her teasing that What Makes A Woman as the song that transitions into KP6? She could've put out an acoustic record in late 2021/early 2022 but she didn't, and now she knows the fans aren't going to like it if she got back the black hair only for an acoustic record. So yeah, I think the only way we get a different project out of her is if she releases more frequently. 

 

If the Twitter guy is correct, he talked about there being ballads on the album. So I don't really think it's going to be the dance album we thought it would be. It'll probably be another Smile. Don't get me wrong though, I love Katy, and although they are perceived as quirky and sometimes cringe, I absolutely love her lyrics and her messages. So if she makes Smile 2.0, I wouldn't be mad at all. My point being that she is definitely capable of putting out such an album but that won't be KP6. 

One wish: I really hope that the new song won't be some kind of sexy club dated mess.

Obviously, she will definitely follow the trends of dance music and this is really the best way for her now.

 

If we talk about the image and the sound, it would be cool to see something like this:

I'm really excited for this era, I honestly do not care about chart success. I just hope she delivers visuals and iconic performances. 

I was at the listening party and can officially confirm that she's coming back this summer with Small Talk- esque anthems.
