I honestly feel so lucky to have this little space where I can share my love for Hil with others that admire her as much as I do and it's just so awesome that some of us have known each other since th

So what does everyone think is a Hilary song that had the production been better would have elevated it to a top tier song in her catalog?

Oh I love this, I have things to SAY thank yew:

  1. Jericho comes to mind first (at least the version on streaming) - the guitar string scratching in the beginning is just unacceptable and it overall sounds like a demo

  2. The Last Song - if it was a full song with a full production it could've slayed, she was really cooking with that one but it kind of ends before it even begins.

  3. Stay In Love - might be a hot take, but I think her vocals are way too loud on the chorus which sometimes makes for a not so pleasant listen. I think other cool elements of the song are buried and get lost in the mix too. Also in the beginning of the song you can hear her mic turn on right before she starts singing and it's always bothered me a bit....

  4. Outlaw - goes without saying maybe? It also feels unfinished and rushed. It's such a fun song and I actually love the wild west moments but the clickety clacks and the MacBook volume squishy sounds kinda make it sound cheap and shallow. ryan3

@SafeAndSound Why did you eat with that answer? Let me go and listen to Stay In Love and see can I hear it.

these are valid answers omg i feel this. but i would like to add that the BULK of self-titled would have benefitted with better production.

from Dignity, i think PWF has room to be polished? i would love to have it sound a bit more rock.

BIBO is good as is with the exception of SIL & Picture This. CTS too actually can use a bit more crystal clear production.

someone posted in the Roommates thread that the song length is 2:53. I…was lowkey hoping for this album to not have any songs below 3 mins lol but that could just be me. short songs will usually sound so good and you end up not getting enough of it!

I feel like this song will be very lyrically driven so I'm not too worried, she seems really excited about Roommates!

Yes, I agree, I'm loving how confident and proud she looks showing her friends the music video, it's honestly so cute! heart2

They really did, I always never cared foe the chorus on SIL, she's almost yelling it

So far Roommates definitely sounds more like a hit, and a song that could catch on / go viral, compared to Mature.

It also seems to have a bigger budget video.

Let's hope that this is a sign that Mature was just an introduction to the new era, and that Roommates will actually actively get pushed as a single.

We need Atlantic to invest in sending the song to radio, and playlisting on streaming.

When do you guys think we'll get news on the docuseries?

I really want to know where it's going to stream and I was expecting for them to release the first episode after the L.A show!

We should be getting news about this soon I reckon (with hopefully a trailer). I do think they will be filming additional footage at the live shows that she has coming up this month.

As for what streaming service, my bet is on Disney+.

A little triggered by them having that version of Sparks under her music videos on Spotify and not Mature, With Love, Wake Up, Come Clean, etc.

Now that YouTube video streams no longer count toward Billboard, I hope this is an opportunity to get all her music videos in high quality on another platform

Don't know if anyone else has noticed, but What Dreams Are Made Of is in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music now.

Is anyone going to see her on Monday in London? I still can't see my tickets on ticketmaster

Yes, I am. So excited! duca

Your tickets should be visible in the Ticketmaster app. If they aren't I would contact them tbh.

I know I'm late to the party, but most of the songs on self titled except for a few ones, I feel like they rushed her to record a new album because of the Metamorphosis' success and record labels should never do that.

I got standing tickets too. See you there! heart2

yknow what would be nice? she performs this at the grammys. idk how possible is that but that would be a real good promo.

That song is amazing, I love the lyrics, I mean Hilary's music has always been very lyrically driven and she didn't disappoint once again.

I like the music video a lot, l would have loved for them to shoot more scenes on the green field tho, but this one tied Stranger for best music video imo.

Edit: I think it's great that she made a BTS interview for ET and loved her interview for V Magazine too, lots of juicy details!

Definitely Stranger vibes in those eyes, our girl is a singer actress!

I'm so proud of her for doing something that's true to herself and even though people keep comparing her to Carley Rae, Katy and Taylor and it annoys me so much, she's doing this on her own terms.

Also she hinted on that interview for V Magazine that maybe we'll hear some new songs other than Mature and Roommates so I can't wait to see what the tracklist looks like and seeing her live in Toronto duca

I caught myself getting a little bothered by all the Taylor-focused comments for the song on other platforms, but then I remembered the power of not caring!

The song and video are incredible art and just a taste of what's to come on the ALBUM, she's back in the spotlight at such a magnitude I never thought we'd see her at again.

Like just a year ago things were bleak and desolate outside of baby birthdays and candle/fragrance promo, fast forward a year and we have a major label-backed album dropping next month, new songs and music videos, merch, vinyls, rerecordings of classics, oh and TOURING, we really wonalexz
