Why? November 3rd is a terrible idea, it's way too late. Also, announcing the new era WEEKS ahead of releasing the first single is dumb as fans would rightfully get impatient and hype would die down.

i’m hoping for this too atp. 2 weeks out isn’t too bad of a wait if she announces on monday and spreads out the teasers. i’d rather she release after taylor than being squished in between her and bad bunny

i get this sentiment too ugh. had taylor not be releasing this month i wouldn’t be overthinking but i think everything will work out for her regardless

Taylor and Dua are both my faves so i don't want to see them put against each other, especially as we all know Taylor would easily win. Dua need to release the lead single October 20th, that's the best date possible. Anything else would be a mistake.

They already released at the same time with Karma Remix and DTN and we know how it ended. 

Taylor is an artist of peaks and big debuts, while Dua is an artist of longevity and real hits. Also it's not that Taylor is gonna release a new album, it's a re-recording.

this is true but the hype behind 1989 feels massive.  i know taylor will have huge first week numbers and peaks just curious how long lasting it will all be

I think there is nothing to "be afraid" for the numbers bc, as much as I like him, Bad Bunny's album seems like it will not have longevity bc it's not "commercial" like UVST and Taylor, as all her re-recordings, will do cute numbers only the first month.

I just want the music to be good, it's enough for it to have legs of its own and solidify her status as THEE MPG of this generation, amen. 

i’m not afraid per say because i know dua always wins in the end. i would just love her to be the focus of her release week and have no competition but regardless im ready and excited

Look, i know you hate Taylor but you're just being delusional here. Taylor has her ENTIRE discography smashing this year and she will be the biggest artist of the year by far once all is said and done. Let's not forget that DTN smashed because of the movie's success, it was pretty much a flop before that. I adore Dua and want to see her smash but she's not a bigger artist than Taylor and that's just a fact.

Where did I say she is a bigger artist than Taylor? I just said that Dua is a longevity artist and not just quick little peaks.  Taylor has amazing debuts, that's it.

Nov 3rd is 3 weeks from now and she started the era this Monday  if they really think a month long ‘rollout’ (meaning 2 cryptic posts per week) is the way to go I’ll lose all hope in the dadager

This is the thing that scares me the most about many Dua stans, i feel like a lot of them will just straight up abandon her if she doesn't get big hits anymore 

 

And yeah, she better release on the 20th you're right, any other date wouldn't make sense at all.
