Seen that tweet too. Well… To be honest Dua & Taylor kinda always released the same day: LS TV & Moonlight Edition/We’re Good, Karma & Dance The Night, folklore & Un Dia… And every time they both smashed so i don’t really worry about it.

Normally I wouldn't mind if they released the same day but I really want Dua to release in a more easy climate because I feel like  this is the first time she has the potential to debut really high with a lead single considering she has a lot of good momentum from FN, the tour + DTN. 

I’m sure it’ll smash eventually but I’ll echo @Love Again and say I’d love for her to get an immediate smash for once. 
 

1989 is the TV that I expect to perform the strongest out of all her past releases, but Speak Now really came and went so there is no telling how individual tracks from 1989 will perform.

Well if the second album full of remixes rumor is true than she has October, November & December on lock.. at this point we'd be better off if she started the era in 2024

Eh, either release it a week earlier or a week later. Not a big deal, but I'd rather see a nice Spotify debut

Well yea but that doesn’t count imo because those posts don’t bring as much of engagement as her personal photos and they kinda seem like newsletters which don’t mess up her algorithm

20 October would be fine to release the lead single, like girl what you waitin’ for, Charts are at their weakest since like 2022. Archive all those Service95 posts….

I sincerely dont think shes going to debut high regardless. She STILL isnt an instant hit type of girl and its fine because she ends up serving insane longevity instead so I dont worry about that BUT I do worry that the 1989 TV + Eras Tour movie mania will eclipse any popgirl release for weeks on end tbh. Like they will suffocate for a solid month before things take off which again, isnt an issue for Dua since she is a longevity girl but I still worry it may fizzle any attention on the lead for way too long before it starts bouncing up.
