I'm definitely an I'm That Girl truther. It sets the tone so perfectly for the album. My hole gets tight every single time it starts

It is hands down her most experimental instrumental. The tempo changes alone  The background vocals 

 

I remember the first time hearing the beat drop after "dead ass" and immediately getting on my feet. We don't talk about the genius of it enough.

Hmmm Summer Renaissance - Great Vocals, nice/okay arrangement or interpolation of the Donna Summer sample but it isnt on the level of others.

 

Alien Superstar is def above or on par with ITG

 

Soooo we agree on something. Church Girl actually has some great musical elements  Vocals are excellent, arrangement of harmonies are great, the sampling is uniquely done, lyrics are good it just gets repetitive at the "drop it like a thotty" parts which reduces points on overall quality.

It's objectively great and a career highlight tbh but the lyrics are wonky at parts  otherwise its def one of her best.
