Idk the Beatles have such a unique discography with room to be re-imagined and interpreted much more dynamic versions of the songs(see: Across The Universe film for reference).

I think she saw the narrative slipping away with all the think pieces about how she was coming to shake up the country industry which is why she tried to course correct with her caption on the cover reveal. She specifically mentioned how she hopes an artist's race isn't considered when making music (collabs with artists like Dolly and Miley) and how it's not a country album, it's a Beyonce album.

Exactly. I was thinking the exact same thing - it was a move to take back control of the album narrative that was already going around 100%

If true, she's gonna be ate up if there isn't a balance of black artists as well. Since Formation, if she ever decides to not take the most pro black stance in a given situation, she gets dragged. 
 

however even if she did only incorporate black artists, she'd probably be called an opportunist, disingenuous, fake-activist or something like that. She already gets it when singing about black experiences.

Miley is like SZA to me in the sense that I straight up do not like her voice so I'm not enthused about this possibility

She's a Black woman herself so anyone who ends up complaining about the lack of Black artists is being willfully obtuse because they don't like her. She works with tons of Black people, too, not just all three of her features on Renaissance but writers and producers a well

This weird expectation for Bey to exclusively work with Black artists is limiting her and putting her in a box she never wanted to be in. I don't think any artist would want to limit themselves in that way. I'm glad she's taking back control. Some of the things being said on Twitter since Lemonade are quite concerning, instead of creatively freeing. They're putting Beyoncé in a position and holding her to a standard she never agreed to meet.

 

I'll be OK if it came straight from her, but I really don't like when stans and journalists put words in her mouth and then attack her, call her names when their expectations aren't met.

Only collabing and sampling black artists would've been gimmicky. I was praying she wouldn't fall into that trap.

Miley is unexpected but she's talented so whatever they've cooked up could be really amazing

Most importantly, this is her first ever big female feature on one of her albums. Beautiful Liar wasn't initially on Bidet

 

I mean we kinda already knew the tea about Dolly, but Miley? This is very exciting to hear, don't really care for The Beatles if I'm being honest but I'm sure Bey's spin on whatever song she chooses will be amazing.

 

I have to admit though I have a looming feeling that I won't like this album as much as Renaissance.

The black community loves putting Black Women especially Black American Women in a box. They never ever do that to Black males in music. It's not illegal for Bey to have YT people on her features. Bey can be pro black and still work with others.

i'm (somewhat) part of the people who think they'll like this album less than Ren and i just know we're about to look dumb as **** on friday 

But when Bey works exclusively with Black artists (Everything Is Love and The Gift), people get mad at her too and says she's trying too hard to be gangsta, and she's a culture vulture. She can't win.

I think I'm gonna like this more than Renaissance tbh  I also think it's about to be a much bigger moment. Friday is going to be crazy. Some people are going to HATE it but some are going to love it and the discourse is gonna be everywhere

They said she turning white so she turned the album white to spite them.

The whole reason why country carter exists is because of her not feeling welcomed and discriminated against. It would be a disservice if she did not include the black artists who have been trying to break barriers in that space. 

 

Don't get me wrong, I love Dolly, Kacey and others but they can't be the only collabs.
