So if you agree here that Bey is primarily out for herself and only about her coins doesn’t that give some credence to her using BLM and the social climate of that time during LEMONADE.

Ppl ignoring the FACT that the Dubai performance (and the fact that this is her first full performance in nearly half a decade) is contradictory to the intentions of the Renaissance album are the fake fans in here

I said this yesterday and there were several ppl in here trying to say I was being obtuse but that’s the reality

And its still a shallow, reductive response to anyone who cares. Emphasis on response because you weren't just making a stand alone statement, you were specifically responding to those who were critical of her and referred to them as "jokes"

"Melanie C pulls out of Poland NYE gig in solidarity with 'communities I support"

Trying to reduce the dynamics of the world by just telling everyone celebrities don't care or share your politics does not move the needle. Many artists build their brand by projecting such values through their music and their personas. They put their own money into supporting communities and movements. It's absolutely fair to hold them to it, and to judge them against the values that you as in individual respect. Sometimes they nudge & learn from it.

When Rihanna was getting dragged for featuring Johnny Depp, do you think it would make sense to go around deflecting all criticism with the same tired point of "She's not a politician"? Or would you just accept that criticism is valid and her job really doesn't have anything to do with the discussion? And I don't even care about Dubai but the logic of that deflection tactic is not strong.

Some of them are still struggling to accept it.

They think it’s bootlicking or ass kissing to acknowledge that if the Dubai performance is true, she don’t give a damn.

like what we supposed to do? Beat her ass to hold her accountable :rip:

If the Tiffany’s blood diamonds discourse didn’t phase her , this won’t:toofunny3:

Had there been something else this era, we'd have more to share, to discuss, to debate, to opine, to experience together. But since there's nothing to talk about beside an album we all listened to and agree is exceptional, inevitably complaints will rise from the VOID that is this era. Now let's nod, smile, and rank her singles run from 2003-04 and make fake album tracklists I guess since that will mean we're Going Clear in Beyoncetology and must have tighter holes, harder ****s, clearer skin, and masters degrees!

I guess some people are willing to die on any hill as long as it means their fave remains wealthy and unbothered.

we…don’t…care….

it’s not defending Beyoncé by acknowledging that she cares about money and we don’t care about that. LOL

She’s been shown her ethos!:coffee2:

Some of the hive & GP was talking about the discrepancy about blood diamonds after BIK & rightfully so imo.

Once the Tiffany’s ad came out and they heard her version of moon river every one moved on.

The way some of you don't read. I do not care about the Dubai concert. I do not even agree with the politics that you shouldn't perform in nations with questionable laws (although there are lines I draw)... I do however respect the stance of those who do care

this exactly

like I'm not defending her..... I guess I see how it could be kinda ****** up but in reality it's not doing any real damage and the people who care are just about morals and the desire of being the wokest of them all

I really don't care what she does it's her bag and her business

she's been giving us performances after performances for 20+ years

she'll eventually perform this album like relax lol
