Seems like you desire those things.

I sure don’t.

whole lot of playing victim and the villain at the same time going on in this thread. #Heated.

I’ve been one of the people consistently saying she doesn’t owe us anything beyond the music so this argument doesn’t work on me.

No amount of ending your posts like an AIM away message is going to give your opinion more weight than mine.

Tired Bette Davis GIF by Maudit

I love this gif

:WAP: I use it all the time with my friends because it describes my state of mind a good 70% of the time

Also Mother Bette would never serve an era like Renaissance, she showed up and showed out till the deathbed

Y'all are low-key Ghetto, the association may not be the besT for my reputation. I'll keep checking in though. You know, like a family does with their relatives in a psychward. I'll just give them an alias.

Arent u the same user whos confident shes gonna perform at the Grammys? Reads like having expectations to me lol

Yeah, obviously there are levels to the statement. I expect a tour in the summer, I expect visuals before that, i expect her to be at the Grammys etc... But plenty of people haven't adjusted their expectations and week by week, asking where is she, whats happening with the era, whatt is she going to do to support Cuff It? :rip:

I haven't been frustrated like the rest of you guys because my expectations as far as timing is concerned adjusted pretty early on, I haven't been waiting on something from her week to week, or month to month.

Y’all are so embarrassing in here, both sides, but especially the side that’s trying to convince itself a performance in the middle of the era isn’t a part of the era :skull:

I'm also a  fan of quality over quantity. I don't think she looked like she was  in the best shape to kill an uptempo performance in the autumn, I'm happy to wait for that first live performance to be show stopping.

The teaser for the visuals didn't excite me AT ALLLLL..... so the wait is actually giving me confidence that the teaser doesn't even touch on the quality or ambition of the actual visuals we're going receive.

Also music over anything and I'm incredibly excited by future acts and know she could very well be using this time to finish recording act 2/3.

I'm just excited for 2023 tbh, that excitement by far outweighs any frustration

We'll definitely have the GRAMMYs one way or another and that's not far away at all.

I forgot about ACT III. :deadbanana2:

This is true…

Beyoncé’s approach to her career in some ways resembles Katharine Hepburns, as she became more elusive and particular about the her appearances, private life, and the company she kept over time.

Why are you still at this? What songs she decides to do at the concert — new or old — doesn’t change my opinion at all.

And I’m not assuming anything…we’re literally in the middle of the Renaissance era. Her profile pictures are of the Renaissance album cover, her FB cover photo says “act I Renaissance”, “Cuff It” is the current single, etc. Until the Renaissance tour concludes or these things change, as far as I know we are still fully in the era.

Maybe you have a different definition of “era” but I define it as the period of time from when the album is announced to when all support for the album (tour, performances, singles, etc.) concludes. Like I said, differences make the world go round.

Hunty the bttm___ is you’re spiraling out of control making all kinds of assumptions with nothing to calibrate it with.

bey is gonna perform, get her bag and you’ll be on here parched & fuming out. Only things factual.

the truth right here. no one with a half-billion dollar net worth will have your moral compass.

if Beyoncé or any performer had this mindset of "oh, look at their constitution and government, they're violating human rights!" they would have maybe a handful of countries to perform in (and it would not include USA or UK).

:clap3:

I guess some really thought bey was the exception to the rule.

Bey and every other celeb do not have class or moral solidarity with you/us.

Celebs will always pick their best interests (specifically financially) and not their fans/supporters.

Where am I spiraling? What assumptions am I making? Where did say I think she’s performing songs from Renaissance? What have I said that isn’t factual?

The fact is that she’s giving her first concert since Dec. 9, 2018 at a luxury hotel private opening in Dubai in January 2023, and I’m not a huge fan of that decision. What part of that isn’t true or is an assumption?

Aren’t you the same 1 that keeps talking about the album (and its content) vs where the performance is taking place?

this private event has nothing to do with Renaissance.

I haven’t been in this base in so long but I completely checked out of this “era”.

So I guess my eyes are more open to seeing her for what she is.

A business woman first and foremost.

So her performing for the first time in years for the elite in Dubai, just doesn’t surprise me

Beychella/The Gift/Everything Is Love/BIK era was her longest era ever. April 2018- July 2019. Now imagine if she spent that year with an original album and tour :lmao: the fact she fumbled her Coachella hype is kinda embarrassing tbh.

Coachella needed to be what it was for her legacy. But I do wonder if she'd dropped a lead single and announced an album and tour what would've happened.

It would've been huge coming off Coachella, that's for sure.

The fact that people are admitting that Bey doesn’t have moral solidarity with her fans yet are simultaneously defending every decision she makes — either proving that they share the same morals as her or are just blindly defending a woman who they don’t have moral solidarity with — is mind boggling to me.

Truly to each their own, I guess.

"get money, *****!" they click clack away on their overheating Acer as if they get a commission from her earnings. it's impossible to have discussions in here because some people so firmly entrenched in their position that she is above reproach.

I said this yesterday and there were several ppl in here trying to say I was being obtuse but that’s the reality
