Stay ties the Pop record

Featured Replies

Stay hits its 12th week at #1 on Pop.  Ties the record with Donna Lewis' "I Love You Always Forever" from 1996.

Will his reign ever end? :clap3:

Is that the all-time record?

On Mediabase.

The all-time Nielsen record is held by Ace of Base's "The Sign" (14 weeks).

Mediabase and R&R go back to 1973 tho.  Plus a bigger panel then the 1992 debuting Nielsen chart.  It's a better chart to use as an all-encompassing chart.  Because would you consider Madonna's "Like a Prayer" and Michael Jackson's "Beat It" as #1 Pop hits?

Oh I searched Stay song on google and it's Bieber and Kid Laori. Don't listen to radio and never heard it before :rip:

Lil Nas getting that last minute push truly prevented Bieber from snatching the record

but who knows how EOM will hold up

Justin gets credited for another hit without any kind of effort, I didn't even notice he was on the song at first. :rip:

He's the reason it's a hit. Just like every song he has ever been in. The biggest name and the one with the track record. Not the kid who has one moderate hit to his name.
