TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 #80. Tell Me It's Over - Avril Lavigne Now, you're gonna hate me on this, but tbh I didn't expect much slayage from Avril this time, I dunno, I just lowered my expectation. But, she PROVED me wrong! This one slayed my pop heart strings! A God-tier hook that still left me slayed to date.

ATRL Moderator kelly-clarkson Posted December 28, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 28, 2018 I love Tell Me It's Over Avril really surprised me too! The song doesn't like anything she released before and I love that
TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 #79. Solo - Clean Bandit ft. Demi Lovato Now, Clean Bandit is a frequently charting act in my Best Ofs and they usually have an annual Top 10 spot. This year, they blew it all off for me. I'm not sure if Solo is their highest track, but their 2017-backwards music >> 2018's. The video was this song's saving grace and made me play it a bit more. How I wish they used the Demi feature to smash tho.

TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 #78. I Did Something Bad - Taylor Swift And now for a 2nd year of Best Of charting! If this had the single treatment, with a slayage of a video, then a Top 10 placement would be locked tbh. The AMA (I forgot?) performance was enough to lead me back to the song tho. A great single that got away. A controversial smash that was wasted. supposed-to-be-#1 hit I Did Something Bad I understand how she went with Delicate for better imagery, but why can't she continue one more time with this when she already started it. Then save Delicate for later? This wreckt me, and I'll never forget how they wasted this...
TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 #77. Butterflies - Kacey Musgraves Kacey's 1st entry in the list (meaning plurality) Golden Hours was such a SERVE! And the Grammy noms isn't a shock tbh. The album has so many gems, I can place many B-sides in this chart but for convenience purposes, lemme limit them to a certain number. Anyways, Butterflies definitely lifted my wig the first time I heard it! Such a slay! The hook is so innovative, my other faves can never.
TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) #76. Fall In Line - Christina Aguilera ft. Demi Lovato And the Best Vocal Performance - Duo goes to... (and they deserve that one rightfully!) Forget how Demi lost her notes in that one live performance. Forget how this topped bubbling under. Now, what we have is a shattering duet of 2 vocal-heavy artists, and a diva-esque melodic song. Now, that's what we call a SERVE. Edited December 28, 2018 by TayRianaPH
TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 #75. (**** A) Silver Lining - Panic! At This Disco Okay, the King Brendon is coming to crown the Top Lists! Consider this as a prelude to the Panic! slayage later on: Pray For The Wicked is such a serve. The aesthetics. The singles choice. And finally, the commercial success. Definitely derserves to rack more spots in the Best Of list.
TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) #74.Nice For What - Drake Okay, another rap song. I'm used to hating Drake 'cause he blocks my faves from the top of the charts. Also, the Kiki song almost made me vomit after it getting its undeserved overplay. But, this song, though this seems an unpopular opinion, is kinda great. The only bothering part is the screams in the bridge-ish. Aside from that, it had enough plays to land in here. TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 #73. King's Dead - Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future Okay, another rap song and another OST track. I'm telling you I'm not a rap fan, but with the huge amounts of rap songs I've been hearing throughout 2018, some rap songs slayed me inevitably and this one was one of them. All the bars in here were fire. The production, just like the rest of the album is stellar. I can't justify further.
TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 #72. Sanctify - Years & Years So, Years & Years did less poppy things this year. And that's like a no no for me. But hey, Sanctify and Palo Santo were all GREAT! Shine >> Sanctify tho, but still Sanctify was definitely one of the Best of 2018.
TayRianaPH Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 #71. Grace - Florence & The Machine Well, Florence & The Machine always brings quality to the table, so explaining things for this one.
