Taylor is not stupid and knew with her level of fame that having her wedding at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN on a holiday weekend would cause a hot mess of road closures, excessive use of public resources normally used for other things, and inconvenience for people in the surrounding area. But she did it anyway. She may not be in charge of the national guard but she absolutely has a team of wedding planners, consultants and all other kinds of professions advising her on what kinds of resources this wedding would require to pull off and she agreed to it.

It's okay to not constantly defend your fave lol. You can still love her and admit when she's taking advantage of other people. She's not evil for this, but it is a bit disappointing. This is also moreso annoying to me because the national guard were all over DC before I moved out and made everyone very uncomfortable there. No. Blaming Capitol is an easy scapegoat. Katy is one of the most visible and promoted artists in all of pop music. Her releases are all over the place whenever she releases. People just do not like her music for the last 10 years besides exceptions like Harley's and Never Really Over and those are 7+ years old now. Her hit making days are over and that's totally okay, she has a string of classics few will ever achieve. People just need to stop placing unrealistic expectations on how much people are looking out for new music from her in 2026.
