Didn’t know it was #8 already

did Country radio dropped To Hell and Back?

Wait does Adore You have more airplay than WS?

Yeah, I think it has a nice shot of going #1. And yes, Country already dropped it.

Yep, there's no so much difference between them on Pop Audiences, and AY is bigger on both HAC and AC.

Last time I checked radio To Hell and Back was still fighting for that Top 35 spot a week or 2 ago.

its been 2 years since Girl lead single came out. I guess Maren should start a new era top of next year. Feels and All My Favorite People were wasted smashes though

Oh wow Adore You outlasting WS when WS was kinda bigger

Why are people calling Levitating “payola” when Holy, Kings & Queens, Bang!, Lonely and Go Crazy are all below it on Spotify and iTunes?

Look the callouts and you will understand why

But who cares? Callouts are an outdated way of looking at what’s popular. The sample size is so small compared to the overall amount of radio listeners and they almost never represent what’s popular on streaming or sales anymore.

callouts don't mean anything. Just look how King & Queens and Bang did in the streaming services?

looks like Holy  could be blocked with Justin having so many other songs out there. positions will hopefully get a long run at #1,

Given how much Levitating’s streams and sales are surging I can’t see radio dropping it before it becomes her 3rd consecutive #1. It’s doing way better on other metrics (maybe except YouTube) than BMH.

shazam, streaming and sales are all showing a great reaction to this. Callouts are somewhat important but they're still a 1000 people poll like...

The sample size of a study does not necessarily have to be huge to represent a huge number of people, it just needs to be random enough (depending on the study that is conducted). It's basically what pollings do, you don't have to ask all the millions of people to predict a successful outcome.

Well it’s clearly unsuccessful considering what all the other metrics are saying.

I know I've had two statistic courses , I'm just saying it would be extremely weird for radios to only follow 1k poll when they have extremely transparent numbers of songs people are liking to discover (Shazam), songs rising in consumption (streaming + iTunes). Callouts are important but not essential I would figure.

and this is not to mention the status of the artist, the latest female IT girl of radio, so they're kind of on a huge high with her.

@JGibson Did Blinding Lights ever reach Top 50 at AAA? Several piano-based songs have preformed well there.

Callouts scores are useless. It’s 2021 radio should be moving quicker, following the trends by genre on different streaming and sales formats and listening to fan requests.

Can we have hole in the bottle daily updates now please?

I'm not trying to say callouts are the only thing that matters, but it's not like they're completely useless, at least to me. I do think they still represent a great source for radio programmers even with its ridiculously outdated system. However, I feel radio stations are doing their own research individually, that is, a station in Miami isn't going to have same results as testing in New York. In recent years, I've seen there's a big influence of Shazam which makes sense, but I don't dismiss callouts completely out of the picture. To me it's still being an interesting source to look up and again, radio audience insn't necessarily the same that streams.

I'm interested to look at "Levitating" radio performance in the near future.
