Imo when you really think about it, I think that since Ed is more of a global force than Taylor (which is what matters the most in iTunes WW calculation), she'd only be able to block him for like her first 2 weeks or so. I could see Divide getting 100-200 days at number 1.

I guess it makes sense Ed would have more longevity than Taylor. I hope he doesnt stay more than 200 days at #1

I personally don't want him at number one on iTunes WW for more than 2 weeks cause I personally don't care for his music. But the power he has right now is just undeniable.

 

I mean he is so popular now. Not quite Adele popular, but still massively popular.

Im actually excited to see how well Eds album does. He's coming off a 9mill selling album. Plus he has the dream start lead single smash. Its all set up to perfection. Its gonna be a huge test of how the sales market really stands. And a great indicator of how Taylors album will do.

And I still find it bizarre that Ed did average sales wise in the U.S...and when I say average I mean in the sense of what the main faves in here do and not the general sense

 

Its weird how he only managed 2M in the U.S because it was really big everywhere else (when you sell more in the UK than in the States...Loud 2.0)

I feel like 350k pure sales in the US is the minimum. But part of me wouldn't be surprised at a massive 700k+ debut. He has appeal with the middle aged moms who made Adele a massive success.
