Well popular songs are the ones that are mediocre enough to appeal to a wide demographic of casual listeners so I’m not really surprised...

But like he's so incredibly boring and his music is lame as hell not to mention overexposed. And people are still eating it up and letting him take over the charts like he owns everything. It's ridiculous.

Agreed he also steals other cultures sound like the Caribbean wave and now New Orleans bounce music and don’t credit none of the artist he samples. In My Feelings samples a dead bounce artist named Magnolia Shorty and he gave her no credit and making millions off a sound that has been ignored by mainstream since the 90s. It sickens me...

I wouldn’t be on this forum if I didn’t like them. It’s just that when you ask “why is x so popular, his/her music sucks” it’s based on the premise that popularity is a metric of what’s good and what’s not and that isn’t true, because most of GP doesn’t care about the actual quality of the song, they just want something catchy to play in the background
